James McArthur, Director
James McArthur is a Florida native born in Clearwater and 20-year resident of Belleair. He is an active member of the community and resides with his wife Connolly and two children, Jay, and Logan McArthur. In addition to serving as a founding board member of the Belleair Community Foundation (past Vice Chairman), James is a past President of the Clearwater Rotary Club; former officer (Secretary) member of the Board of Trustees for St. Paul’s Episcopal School; past Board President of Belleair Country Club; past fundraising Chair for the Salvation Army; member of Copperhead Charities; fundraiser for ARC; and past Vestry Junior Warden for the Episcopal Church of the Ascension.
James’ professional career is marked by 30 years of experience in commercial finance and management consulting. His background includes commercial lending; asset based lending, investment banking, and turnaround consulting. James has a successful track-record of developing strategies and executing in crisis management, turnarounds, restructuring, and recapitalization. James serves clients in various interim CEO, CFO, COO, and CRO (Chief Restructuring Officer) roles. He has held various management and business development positions with industry leading commercial banks and asset based lenders throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Mr. McArthur works with clients operating in a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, construction, transportation, commercial lending, apparel, retail, professional firms, service industries, resort and golf course operations, real estate development, healthcare, education, and non-profit organizations.
James is a Past President of the Florida Chapter of the TMA (Turnaround Management Association). He is active in the CFA (Commercial Finance Association) and ACG (Association for Corporate Growth).
Mr. McArthur holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance and Economics from Wofford College.
